Reflection VI

To be honest I feel that writing is not easy. I tried to learn how to write well but I cannot practice it well. In one time, I felt that I am not clever. I did many mistakes when I wrote some paragraphs. I did so many grammatical mistakes even if I try to learn about grammar many times.

Huft…… Grammar….. Grammar…… and Grammmar…..

I almost stopped to learn about you (grammar) but I do not have any idea what will happen learning English without learning grammar. At last, someone inspire me.

“I have to be strong even if I am weak”

 “I have to keep studying even if I feel bored”

“I have to keep struggling since I do not know what will happen next”

I will be strong, keep studying and keep struggling because I want not be loser.

Reflection V

Last week we got three times for writing I course and I got some new knowledge. The discussion well done with no much debated like Zakiy’s paragraph is process analysis, Lilis’s paragraph is process analysis and exposition, than Tryas’s paragraph is explanatory. Even if at the first time Tryas believe that her paragraph is persuasive but at last she agrees that her paragraph is explanatory. Discussion is a good way to reconstruct our understanding.

Reflection IV

Reflection is an important aspect in learning process, by this way our teacher know how far our understanding about our material that we learn or study. Beside that we can share our understanding or our knowledge to our friends.

In this week in Writing 1 course I got some new knowledge such us:

-          Topic sentence should be a sentence (a whole of sentence) it is usually taken at sentence of a paragraph but in special case it is located in the middle or bottom.

-          Topic it must be a word or a phrase.

-          News (essay) commonly just informing and the kind of the paragraph cannot be identified or classified.

At last we have to share what we knew and what we did not know to our friends, we can discuss in small groups or ask it personality this way will increase our knowledge about materials that we learn. That’s all about my reflection, at least it will help you that is my hope.

The Next Reflection

Writing I course is a good class for me.  I can share and discuss very well with my friends. I get so much new knowledge in this class. In discussion section I discus with Aris about our description paragraph I learn so much things from it, I learn that if we want to translate our text it is better if we translate by ourselves and bettor not to use google translate. Than in presentation section 1 on Friday I must leaved the class earlier because of my family’s business but I still can learn about paragraphs:

-           A comparison paragraph is compare about similarities.

-          A contra paragraph is compare about differentiates. 

-          Argumentative paragraph, if we want to make a good argumentative paragraph we must add an opposite argument from our argument and we must show our position as a writer in a clear position.

-          Definition paragraph, definition paragraph is only refer to one word or phrase and we may not use our opinion.

Reflection

Last week I got a lot of new knowledge about Paragraph:
- In discussion section I can share my knowledge about paragraph with Hamdhy Rois. We can transfer our knowledge well.
- than in the next meeting (presentation) I also get much knowledge about paragraph.
- It is good if we can find a good paragraph that have a clear topic sentence and a clear purpose so we can analyze that paragraph easyly.
- Topic sentence is not also the whole of the first part of paragraph but topic sentence must be a whole of sentence.
- Sometime topic sentence is not written in the paragraph.
- Process analysis paragraph will be better if we write in a whole paragraph or there is no parth or paragraph is separated.

Reflection

There are so much things about paragraph that I got from my writing I course on Tuesday 07^th  September 2012:

-          Paragraph always connect or coherent one each other in an essay. I mean that if an essay contain of three paragraphs the first paragraph will coherent with the second paragraph and also the third, so you need to be careful to take which one will you choose to be analyzed.

-          To analyze a paragraph we must give attention the topic sentence, because it is describing the whole of paragraph.

-          Than we have to know the purpose of the paragraph. Sometimes the structure or the shape of a paragraph like Narration but the purpose is classified. So we can not say that is a narration paragraph, the right one is that is a classification paragraph.

-          We have to read our paragraph more than one time so know it clearly and we can analyze easily.

-           Than discus your opinion about a paragraph with your friends is a great idea to find the final conclusion, because you can analyze and also you can share it together.
